SAFETY PROCEDURES DURING AND AFTER A TYPHOON

1.   SHUT OFF YOUR ELECTRIC STOVE AND OVEN IF THE POWER GOES OUT. IF IT COMES BACK ON WHILE YOU ARE NOT HOME, IT COULD START A FIRE. SHUT OFF ALL ELECTRICAL ITEMS NOT NEEDED FOR FOOD PRESERVATION.

2.   DO NOT GO WITHIN 50 FEET FROM ANY DOWNED WIRES. CALL CUC.

3.   REMEMBER, WIRES LAYING ON THE GROUND COULD BE ENERGIZED AND CAN KILL. DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE. CALL CUC.

4.   IF YOU ARE IN YOUR CAR AND WIRES FALL AND CONTACT YOUR CAR, DO NOT TRY TO GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. STAY INSIDE. BLOW YOUR HORN AND KEEP PEOPLE FROM COMING NEAR YOUR CAR. DO NOT LET ANYONE TOUCH YOUR CAR. TELL THEM TO CALL CUC. IF YOU STEP OUT OF YOUR CAR, YOU COULD BE ELECTROCUTED.

5.   IF WIRES ARE LAYING ON ANY PART OF YOUR HOME OR CAR, DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THEM. CALL CUC.

6.   CUC LINEMEN ARE ON STAND-BY 24-HOURS A DAY.
